I offer therapy in English, Romanian, and Russian and I have a deep respect and appreciation for people of diverse cultural backgrounds. In my sessions, I create a warm and safe space, helping you feel validated, understood, and empowered. My clinical experience and expertise have been effective in treating anxiety, depression, family conflict, codependency, relationship issues, parenting and women's issues. I've been supporting and helping individuals that were experiencing loss and grief, recent traumatic experiences, childhood trauma, daily stress, low self-esteem, divorce, life transitions, and work conflict. I deeply believe that no client is the same, everyone has their own inner resources and life challenges that they are going through. Therefore, our therapy sessions will be tailored to your own specific needs and preferences that entirely depend on you and what you decide to do in our time together. Even though my work is rooted in evidence-based psychotherapy, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, Emotional Freedom Technique, and Interpersonal Psychotherapy, my clients would also ask for mind-body-soul approach, and I often offer them Brainspotting Therapy. This is an innovative therapeutic modality, founded by Dr. David Grand in 2003, and has been highly effective in work with trauma. The core principle of Brainspotting is that "where you look affects how you feel" and certain eye positions can access, process, and clear out negative experiences that are located in the subcortical brain. Dr. Grand said: "Brainspotting is a powerful, focused treatment method that works by identifying, processing and releasing core neurophysiological sources of emotional/body pain, trauma, dissociation and a variety of other challenging symptoms. There is no replacement for a mature, nurturing therapeutic presence and the ability to engage another suffering human in a safe and trusting relationship where they feel heard, accepted, and understood."
